I did not hem any of the raw edges, its thermal T-shirt knit, so it won't really fray much. Also, I cut the hood off above the seam and binding where the hood met the body of the shirt. That way no extra finishing was needed! That is the beauty of this project, simple!!

I really like how it turned out. Questions: I noticed your sweater is a waffle weave, so did you hem the raw edges of the trim, plus did you do any finishing work on the neck once the collar was removed.
